Lagos is a 2.5 hour drive from Lisbon airport down the A22 motorway. Alternatively, you can take the more scenic route near the coast, along the N120. Allow 5–6 hours to stop in a few of the picturesque small towns along the way.
There is a free public parking area adjacent to the property, on the outside of the old town walls. If you're staying in Casa Mãe or a Cabana and arriving between 10am–6pm, park and come to Casa Mãe's reception. Otherwise, check in at our main reception inside Jogo da Bola (24h).
Want a quick and scenic trip down to the Algarve? If you have less than 10kg of luggage, you can take a light plane from Cascais to Portimão airfield in just 40 minutes. A taxi from there to the hotel is around €25. Fares can be booked on the Sevenair website from €70. We recommend headphones or earplugs, as it's a small plane and you're right next to the engines.
There are several daily coach services from Lisbon's Sete Rios station, which is near the Jardim Zoológico (Blue line) metro stop. The quickest is with EVA, taking 3 hours and 45 minutes. From the Lagos station it's a short taxi ride up the hill to the hotel. Tickets are €20 one way, and can be bought online or at the station.
Combios do Portugal (CP) has multiple daily train services from Lisbon to Lagos, via Tunes. For the quickest and most comfortable journey, book a 1st class seat on the Alfa Pendular express, which runs from Porto to Faro. The Lisbon–Lagos journey is ~4 hours, passing through the beautiful Alentejo region. Timetables and prices are available on the CP website.
